Emergency Response System

In addition to care services, one of the main reasons individuals choose to live in a retirement residence is for their personal safety. At the home, we provide the following emergency response systems:

Fire Safety

Our fire safety systems and practices are in line with the Ontario Fire Code. Smoke detectors and sprinkler systems are provided in all residents’ rooms, common areas, and work and storage rooms. A range Guard safety system is installed in the kitchen. They is an annual fire drill in which you will be expected to participate, on an annual basis by certified technicians.

Personal Safety

An Emergency Call System is provided in the resident rooms and bathrooms.
An alarm will sound as soon as an emergency call is activated. Staff is prompt to answer. All exterior doors are alarmed starting at 4:30 p.m. each day.
